CC Celebrations is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

  • CC Celebrations is bound by The Marriage Act 1961, Guidelines Marriage Act 1961 and Marriage Act Regulations, Code of Practice for Marriage Celebrants [Schedule 2] and the Privacy Act 1988.

  • CC Celebrations will always ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all matters pertaining to the ceremony or the couple’s details.

  • CC Celebrations will maintain a policy of non-disclosure to family members and any interested parties. All enquiries from a family member will be directed back to the couple or relevant family member.

  • If a direct written request is forwarded by an authorized court official or the Attorney Generals Department, the celebrant will be required to respond. As a security check, the celebrant will liaise with the Registrar at AGD to seek further advice and clarification.

  • The ceremony details will be registered with the Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages in accordance with the Marriage Act.

  • CC Celebrations will make available all relevant information and procedures pertaining to privacy, secure storage of documents and disposal of documents.

  • Meetings and ceremony preparation will be conducted in a private and secure environment.

  • CC Celebrations will maintain up-to-date relevant security /anti-virus and anti-hacking software.

  • All documents will be stored in a locked cabinet or on an external hard drive.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews, correspondence, by telephone, by email, via our website www.cccelebrations.com.au, from media and publications, from other publicly available sources, from cookies and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or the policy of authorised third parties.

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our clients and marketing.
